Registration for the 2010 Portland Dragon Boat Race is now closed
 

The 2010 Portland Dragon Boat Race will be held at Tom McCall Waterfront Park in beautiful downtown Portland, Oregon on September 11 & 12, 2010.

Take a peek at the registered teams and the tentative race schedule. If you don't see your team name among the registered teams and think there is an error, please contact the Race Director ASAP!

Bracketing will be posted over Labor Day weekend.

Sign up for Specialty Racing Divisions Now
 

In addition to competing in the mixed or women's divisions, each team may register for one or more of the following specialty divisions:

  • Youth (18 and under)
  • Corporate Cup
  • Cancer Survivors
  • Open (Men's)
  • Grandmasters/Masters Mixed (40+)
  • Grandmasters/Masters Women (40+)
If you registered for the race, but not one of these divisions, and would still like to do so, please email the Race Director. Teams are encouraged to pair up with other teams to fill rosters for the Open and Grandmasters race. On-site registration for Specialty Races will not be permitted in 2010.

 

 

 

Dana Nelson Memorial Race
  In 2010, the Dana Nelson Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the winning BCS crew at the BCS National Championships races, to be held in conjunction with the 2010 USDBF Club Crew National Championships, in Chattanooga, Tennessee on July 23-25, 2010.

DragonSports USA was honored to host the Inaugural Dana Nelson Memorial Race in 2009 and invites all BCS teams participating in the 2010 Portland Dragon Boat Race to register for the Cancer Survivors division. We look forward to having the Dana Nelson Memorial Race back in Portland again soon!
  
  Paddlers Party!

The Paddlers Party is ON for this year, Saturday night from 6:00 to 11:00ish. Dinner with beverages, live band and dancing, fire dancers and a dunk tank!

Registration for teams ($200/team) and individuals ($15/person) is now open. Only want to come for the party later? An option to pay $5 at the door is also available.

   Volunteers Wanted

Can you help? We could use assistance helping teams on the docks, with merchandise sales, or if you have a boat and some time to spare, we'd love it if you could be a safety boat out on the water near the course.
