Those of you who have attended the race in the past are probably well aware that there's this silly little 10K Run/Walk called Pints to Pasta that has circumnavigated Tom McCall Waterfront Park, causing minor headaches, every Sunday morning race weekend.

Be prepared for a larger headache this year.

While the runners will be off the sidewalk in the park, they'll now be running down SW Naito Parkway, which probably means traffic lane closures. Here's the new course map. We're still trying to find out if this means traffic will be closed in both directions, but be sure to plan extra time if you're driving to the race and please obey all traffic signs.

Just a friendly reminder (or maybe notice, oops!) that the infamous Portland Dragon Boat Festival Beer Garden, run by Portland team Kai Ikaika, will be open on Friday night from 6pm to at least 8pm for a pre-race meet & greet. Visiting and local teams are all welcome and encouraged to drop by! The Beer Garden will again be located just north of the Hawthorne Bridge, adjacent to the Festival site.

It doesn't sound like our food vendors will be rockin' and rollin' just yet, but we will be! The beer will be flowing and everyone's favorite DJ, Short Change, will be getting the party started. Plus awesome raffle prizes donated by Festival vendor Double Fifth Dragon Boating and Festival presenter DragonSports USA.
