Local teams must provide names and contact information for two volunteers with their registrations. Applications submitted without this information will be considered incomplete and returned to the team contact for re-submittals.
Volunteers are expected to volunteer for a half-day shift on either Saturday or Sunday. A volunteer coordinator will contact all team volunteers to confirm assignments.
Water and snacks will be provided throughout your volunteer shift. Vouchers for lunches will be provided as well. Volunteers for AM shifts should plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early to check-in; volunteers for PM shifts should plan to arrive at least 45 minutes early to allow time to get a lunch.
All volunteers will be given a volunteer t-shirt to wear during his or her volunteer shift. Jackets/layers should be worn below the volunteer t-shirt; closed-toed shoes, hats, sunglasses and sunscreen are also recommended.
A signed waiver will be required of all volunteers. The minimum age to volunteer is 14 (parent/guardian authorization signature on the waiver will be required).
